World Renewal & KRRC

World Renewal Executive Director Wendy Ferris-George is the vice president of the Klamath River Renewal Corporation appointed by the Karuk Tribe. She was appointed in 2016 to conduct the world's largest dam removal project. Removal of the four hydroelectric dams is the first crucial step to restore the health of the Klamath River and the communities that depend upon it. Work now continues to restore the 2,200 acres of formerly submerged lands.
